(on the referendum, a poem by Sony Kimani)

make love not war, they love to say
its a tug of war, for the ayes and the nays
whichever you choose, whichever will lose
the rope should unite us, it will not break us
so wipe your brow, my brother art thou

its your duty to build a better nation
for the sake of generations
without fear of retribution
make your contribution
participate! make the constitution

and when the day has come and gone
when all is said and done
we will all remain as one
Kenya is number one

Benjamin Franklin’s speech on the evening of July 27 1775….

if only our leaders could speak n mean even half that speech

let me be plain honest….ii poem iko juu tu sana….these are the pieces you need to register as an intellectual property…otherwise…(^^,)

it’s for not only now but the future let’s make the right decision for our children!

  4. Alexander says:

It is a nice image that you proliferate here, idealistically. In RL (yes, and also with me), the ayes and nays have broken relations, haver alienated people from each other, have created a Greater Rift Valley, and not cohesion.

Instead of real experts and scholars, they choose into the CoE washenzi with credentials plus connections, and an affirmative action token mzungu. Instead of creativity, they copied. Instead of legal precision, mealy-mouthed wordiness and superfluousness. Instead of asking the Sovereign People, they try to hoodwink and polarize the masses. To the eery tune of the Pied Piper being played, we are served a hundred fried molerats on skewers, but they are offered to us as filet of beef.
